My friend, God loves you very much and his desire for you is to be his child and to be in his will. God would want nothing more than for you to be saved or delivered from the hands of the enemy in every area of your life. God loves you so much that he allows you to wake up every morning with a reasonable portion of life, health, and strength. Do you not know that God loved the world so much that he sent his son Jesus Christ into the world to die for the world that the world through him might be saved? (Ref John 3:16-17)
We all have made mistakes in this life and have done things that we regret. No one is cleared from this. The bible says in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” You may think and feel that you need to straighten things in your life out before you accept Jesus as your personal Savior and Lord. You may think that God will not accept or forgive you until you do this. God wants you to come to him as you are because the bible says in 1st John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Lastly my friend, you may be a backslider or have fallen into a backslidden state. God wants you to know that he says in the book of Jeremiah 3:14, “Turn O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married to you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion.” God wants you to have the gift of eternal life in him because he loves you and he wants to be your father and you his child. The bible says in Romans 6:23, “For the wages (or results) of sin is death; (spiritual separation from God) but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 10:9-11; 13, “(9) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
If you would my friend, bow your head and pray this prayer. “Lord, I ask you to forgive me for all of my sins, cleanse me from all unrighteousness, and set me free. I receive you into my heart and I ask you to be Lord of my life in Jesus name, Amen.”
